Donkeys Adopted In April 2006

Professor Higgens was adopted by Diane Palinski- Roberts.

 Congratulations Diane!

**Update February 2008**

We received this great photo from Diana Palinski-Roberts who adopted Professor Higgins from us in April of 2006.    She says:

"I took this picture last week. It was freezing outside and they had just gotten done eating and were sunning themselves. You can't see it, but Higgins actually has his eyes closed. Arnold is a draft style Haflinger. I got him for Randy ( really just an excuse to get him for me.)"

We love your "excuse" Diana!  I think of few of us have use that excuse along the way too! Thanks for sharing!

**Update - 11-30-07**

Hello,
Just wanted to give you an update for Professor Higgins whom I adopted in 2006. He is doing awesome with his big brothers "Lewis" and "Arnold." "Higgi" as we call him, fits right in and is guarded by Lewis who almost treats him as his baby. Higgi is getting plenty of treats (he loves pumpkins) and plenty of love. He follows me around as I clean up the pasture so every time I turn around I have to pet him! He is wonderful!

A new life for a beat-up old BLM donkey.  Prof. Higgins after 8 months as Mari Rose Six's first foster donkey. Dear old Professor Higgins is off to Ohio to join Diana Polinski-Roberts and his new horse friend "Louis" on their new farm in Swanton, Ohio. Great job Mari Rose, I know a piece of your heart went with him.

Professor Higgens shows off at the Michigan Horse Expo in March 2006

***UPDATE & NEW PHOTOS***

Just wanted you to know that Cooper & Clark aka Horass and Leon are doing great!  We are loving them to death and they have settled into their new home quite nicely.  They even love our dogs and let them give them "kisses" on a regular basis.  Hope you enjoy this picture.  My husband often makes comments about adding to the family!
