Hi all,
Just thought you might like to see how well Joni (now known
lovingly as Josephine) is adjusting to her new home here in Gregory,
Michigan.
When we lost our 11 year old SSH brood mare due to an impaction
a week before Christmas, her yearling filly, Priscilla was
devastated to be all alone. She was lost and looking for her mom. We
were all so heartbroken to lose our "big Mama" and to see Priss so
sad. The vet said it was normal for her to be depressed but when she
quit eating I became really concerned.
So I called TPDR! With a lot of help from everyone, I decided to
bring Josie home to help me care for my "little orphan". When my
husband and I went to Metamora and saw Joni* and her best friend
Jill we fell in love, we really wanted to take both of them but
didn't want them to leave Prissy out. We met Tia's mom and later
Tia, (what great girls they are) and even though it was hard for
them to see her go, we assured them that she was going to go to a
good place. And boy, is she happy.
What a great Christmas it was for all of us here to see and hear
that sweet little donkey. We adore her! Thanks again for all the
help in rushing this through, you made Priscilla and her family very
happy.
