Pete Maeder of West Branch Michigan has adopted Guy, Tumbleweed and MariAnne!  Congratulations Pete!

**UPDATE 10-18-08***

Just wanted give a quick update on the donkers I adopted from your great rescue. Mary-anne and Guy are doing great, as is Zoey, Mary-anne's baby. Not so much a baby now. I was concerned when I found out she was pregnant, but I'm very glad you allowed me to adopt her anyway. She's really part of the herd and family.

Tumbleweed was a stinker when he first came here; wouldn't let anyone near him, couldn't be caught, was real stand-offish. He and I have bonded big-time (I think anyway). He lets me clean his hooves, fly spray him, and do just about anything else without even being on a lead (in his pasture). He LOVES going for walks and jogs down the road with me, and the neighbor kids can't wait to see he and I come by so they can say "hi" to him. If I crouch down and talk to him and touch his foot while saying "foot" he'll lift that leg and let the farrier do his thing without so much as a second thought. If I'm not touching him, though...that's a different story!

Here's a picture of Tumbleweed in his Halloween-mode, on the front porch. He likes looking in the window and saying hello to the dogs. He's made fast-friends with the dogs, especially the smaller one. Anyway, hope you enjoy the picture of Tumbles half as much as I'm enjoying seeing all 4 of their personalities come out more and more.

Thanks again,

Pete Maeder

Elsie was adopted by Melinda Lemmon.

Congratulations to Melinda and Elsie too!
