Elvis

We normally do not list horses, but we are listing this gorgeous boy as a courtesy to his owners, as as we found a home for Elvis`s companion Jack W.  Elvis had been placed prior to Jacks adoption to but that placement proved to be unsuitable for this lovely guy.

Placement to be approved by both Elvis`s longtime owner and TPDR.

Adoption donation to be determined by current owner, adopter, and TPDR.

Here is what Elvis's owner has to say about him:

Hi, my name is Elvis. I am a beautiful black Tennessee walker gelding. I am approximately 17 years old, per Dr. Renton at Howell Animal Hospital.

I have excellent ground manners , I trailer easy and my farrier Greg Horton says I am always a pleasure to trim. I don't bit or kick and I am very gentle.  I absolutely love water, in fact during the hot summer, mom will put the water sprinkler out for me to run through.

My best friend Jack has recently been adopted through TPDR (he is a miniature donkey) He was my partner in the paddock for over 10 years and we had a lot of fun together. We would often play tug of war with a jolly ball and I would let Jack win to boost his ego!

Enough reminiscing, let me tell you more about me.

My mom and dad bought me from a very inexperience horse owner who knew nothing about horses. He liked me because I am big (16+ hands), beautiful and fast.

Whenever we would go for a ride he would make me run as fast as I could go for a long time, because of that I have ROAR (the term ROARING is used to describe a horse that has a left recurrent laryngeal hemiplegia. Horses with this often make loud breathing noises when they are exercising strenuously) Don't let this scare you, I am in excellent health other than the ROAR, which I only have when someone rides me and cause me to become anxious, so I really should not be ridden anymore. When mom and dad bought me from this guy, I was already diagnosed with Roar. Mom would ride me for some slow trail rides and she said I was the best smoothest ride she has ever had.

Well, that's my history, now about my future...

Dad has been laid off for over a year now and money is very tight for mom and dad. They told me that they would find me a good home, someone who could take care of me properly. I am current on all my vaccinations, I'm in good health, I've got great confirmation and I'm beautiful to look at. I get along great with everybody, horses, people, children and donkeys.

I will make you and your horse or donkey a devout companion. A good loving home is paramount to my mom and dad who both love me very much. Mom said that giving Jack and me up are the hardest decisions that she has ever made. Mom and dad owned me for almost 12 yars and we're family. It's very hard to say goodbye. Mom is typing this for me and again, she is crying.

Please, someone give me the opportunity to prove what a great horse I am. Mom's prayers would be answered. Please look at my pictures and I hope I can steal your heart
