Sparky

Sparky is almost 5 years old and spent a few months in our rehab center, before being moved to his foster home at Jackie Timmerman's.

Jackie says:

Sparky is the sweetest little guy.  He loves to be brushed.  After being brushed he won't leave my side. He still needs some work on leading.  He will follow when one of the others are being lead.  He was great for the farrier except for 1 front foot. The farrier thought that foot may have been injured in the past.  He comes right up to me when I go in the pasture. He gets along with all of the donkeys.

If you are interested contact Jackie Timmerman at  JTimmerman@hastingsmi.org

**** UPDATE from Sparky's foster mom  10-7-08 ***

Sparky came to me with Ben, another mini almost a year ago.  Sparky is leading very well.  He is not shy at all.  He gets along with my big donkeys as well as little ones.  He is not aggressive, but won’t let the big ones push him around either.  He plays with my biggest donkey, Hayden, until Hayden gets tired, he also plays with the others when Hayden won’t play.  He is so friendly and loves attention.  He was very patient with me when I was trying to get a new halter to fit him.  He just stood there waiting for me to get it right.  When he sees me coming out to the pasture or the barn he doesn’t waste any time getting to the fence to greet me.  Sparky would do well with just about anyone for a companion.
