Meg was
found in a sale barn, huddled in a corner with her long eared friend,
Rod Stewart. Both animals were very scared and bewildered They had
also both lacked many things for the first 9 months of their lives.
Compassion and handling from humans, proper food or nutrition, foot
care and hoof trimmings; neither animal had seen any of these.
Meg was taken to a foster farm in Northwest Indiana and
Rod Stewart came home to a foster farm in Michigan.
Delores Rizza was in search of a companion for her
donkey. She contacted Turning Pointe Donkey Rescue which led her to
Meg's foster farm. Delores had to travel from Illinois to Indiana to
see Meg, but once she arrived at Meg's new foster farm, Delores knew
that Meg was the one.
Four months later, with Delores giving her the
caring and kindness she deserves,Meg has blossomed into a healthy and
happy donkey.
Delores, THANK YOU from everyone in TPDR for
opening your heart and home to Meg!
