Often we are asked the same question......why do you want to do all this work and rescue animals?

Turning Pointe Donkey Rescue is operated by volunteers who are committed to Donkeys and giving them a second chance, a Turning Pointe, in their lives.  We have a 501(c)(3) status as a tax-exempt non-profit organization so donations are tax deductible. All donations are used to rehabilitate rescued donkeys.   We depend on donations to provide veterinary and farrier care, and feed for the donkeys that are rescued, until they can be matched with a  forever home.

Donkeys are surrendered when their owners are faced with a move to a new location and will have no room for their pet. They are surrendered when their faithful companions can no longer care for them due to health reasons or even death of the primary care-taker.

There are many different reasons that owners find themselves searching for a new home for their long-eared friends and our goal is to make that search easier on everyone.

Do you have a donkey that you would like to surrender or can no longer care for? We would be very happy to welcome your animal(s) to Turning Pointe Donkey Rescue and find him or her a new home.
