Testimonials

In life, not all stories have happy endings. Fortunately, here at Turning Pointe, we have many happy endings when we see a donkey that has been abused or neglected get settled into a new and loving home. Here are just a few of them...

From Dave and Barb Sheldon of Kalamazoo, Michigan:

"Just had to send a picture of our two guys. TPDR Ray Charles is doing very well. Very skittish and a kicker at first-couldn't handle his feet. Now he stands perfectly still, without a halter, to have his hooves picked out, be groomed and sprayed, get ear roll-on etc. He's still a little timid but that may be his nature. He has a very sweet disposition."

Ray Charles is on the left, he is 25-30 years old and has been totally blind since the day he came to TPDR. When he first arrived at the rescue, he was scared to death. You couldn't get near his back end as he kicked out of fear since he couldn't see. What a joy to us at TPDR to hear how far this sweet old guy has come!

Blackjack, on the right is estimated to be somewhere in his 40s. "very, very old", according to his veterinarian
