This is a very special "Thank You" to some of Turning Pointe`s unsung heroes. The folks listed below unfailingly have opened their barns and their huge hearts, and yes their wallets to our long ears in need. Without question these generous people have provided transportation, veterinary, farrier, dental work, training, socialization, a sense of security, and most importantly Love to our long ears as they wait for that permanent home to come along.

 

As most folks are aware, in rescue work of any kind there must be balance. Animals have come to us that have been starved, cruelly abused, shot, horribly neglected, discarded simply because they are old, or perhaps they bray a bit too loud.

 

At about the time that the frequency of these cases become almost too much to cope with and I say to myself "I just can't do this any longer" one after another of the Good Guy's show up. Sometimes they ask what they can do to help. Just as often they don't even ask. They just step in and do whatever is necessary to make things better. That my friends is the balance I am talking about. And yes, the scales are tipped in favor of the Good Guy's!
